The birthday boy was craving to wash his throat and had requested for a Karaoke session. His darling sister ah girl and zhengxin gor gor were away for honeymoon and mao king er jie was busy with her assignment so only left me and hubby to celebrate for him. He was smart enough to add new calendar event in hubby's iphone to remind him to buy pressie for him a few days before 27th November and also booked his calendar on both Saturday and Sunday to celebrate his 15th years old birthday.
We went for a 3 hours K lunch on Sat 26th November at Downtown East EHub! The aircon was super freezing and the boy and my hubby sang continuous non-stop throughout the 3 hours while I was busy ordering washing machine from the supplier over the phone.
After the lunch, we headed to Shaw Cinema at Bugis Junction for a movie called "You Are the Apple of My Eye (那些年，我們一起追的女孩). It was a nice movie with beautiful songs and again this Ryan is now crazy over the lady actress in the show. But if you understand him well, very soon he will forget about her and find a new idol.. haha..
Dinner at Blu Jaz Cafe
After reading good reviews from the forum, I decided to try out this place since we were at Bugis. We managed to book a table at 7.30pm so we headed there after our movie.
The cafe was surprisingly huge as it stretched over a few blocks of the shophouses and business was very good. The menu offered a wide range of selection from local to western to middle east at reasonable prices and it was defintely a good place to chill out with groups.
Rating: 6.5/10
Given the pricing, I think the food there still considered reasonable.
